the otherday was the first time i've used image ready so i have no idea lol i reckon if u do it in photoshop or illustrator then they can help put it into image ready? xx

afternoon! has everyone read their email... monday is THE day we have to do our website. by tuesday we're meant to have a basic working prototype so we'll all have to bring our files etc that we've done in on monday and do it in uni after lectures! xxx

yer i think thats a gd idea...better 2 have one image thats really gd instead of 3 ok 1s! ive dun this animation on image ready..and the computer has decided that it wants 2 b arkward and wont let me rotate the layers... any1 know how 2 do this?neways if this comes up...im not sure whether to stick to the white or (which i think would look better), to add a background eg bottom of a bin/ street!

Afternoon gang!

First things first, I am devastated Arsenal just equalised in the 92nd minute! But nevermind,.....lets focus on the project!

I am just finishing off an extremely unhealthy looking burger I've created in Illustrator and had a thought! As time is pressing on, rather than me producing another two food items, saying exactly the same thing as the next, I would jut have the one image, but with various other images of scruffy kebab house receipts??????? These would obviously run from that link or from other food items in the street scene! They would be in keeping to Tyler's map background of used kebab rap-paper, with little spatters of sauce and leftover bits of food! What do you think?

I'll give it a go and post them up. I just think that 3 images all saying pretty much the same thing isn't very interesting. However, I may be wrong!

god wat a dweeb seriously...neways i done it on photoshop the box of chips looks ok (a bit shakey) espec as i didnt have a mouse! but im guna ave a go then put it on image ready..then if u think it looks crap il do it using PEN N PAPER!! but il post it up!

what u mean? the video? it's all just photoshop sequence of files put into quicktime...

and let's all take time out to point and laugh as a group at zoe who made me giggle today when she explained how she'd spent all night on photoshop tracing around the edges of photo rather than using a pen and paper like a normal person because she thought we'd done it that way haha this makes me chuckle a lot espec when i imagine u sat there with ure laptop and not even a proper mouse lol LOVE it! xxx

Don't worry too much about content, keep it simple and cute! Remember this is an introductory project into an area some of us might want to get into!

So sorry I am away and being the El Retardo that I am and thinking I would be back today, when infact my flight is tomo! Promise I will be better organised in the future!........if it helps I am in a sevre amount of pain right now and can hardly walk!!!!!

yer agree with this....weve come up wiv some ideas 2 naviagte around the site...looking at current websites that we liked the style of...feel that we definitely need 2 sort the content out 2mo as we then know what will be going on with each page!!! still feel really confused as 2 what the content is even suppose 2 be! but we have a week 2 do this now ahhh!

really like the bin illustration but me and zoe are still confused as to whether we've actually chosen what the site's going to do... we need to meet and talk about it plus in a non arsey way but when we do the website bit we kinda need to do it in uni not just u do it at home if u get me...? xx

Just a quick update on what I've been upto.... firstly I've been working with flash content, testing animations, trying new things and seeing what will work well. Below is an image of one of the page layouts that will have an animated map feature, I'm still working on this but it'll be completed soon.

Also i've been working on some visuals for the main environment (home page) been using illustrator to produce a rough sketchy flat colour style that lends itself well to our choice of topic.

Once i've got all our visuals together i'll begin to work them into a website format using flash, hopefully we'll be able to get the majority of the site and its content together before the deadline.

have a look at this: Aqua Teen Hunger Force follows the adventures of Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake - three sort of fast food knock-offs - as they do things like save the world from giant rapping spiders....but it looks at seedy fastfood on the streets apparently there is also a cartoon about them aswel-says on the website that its better than south park!?

i have a list of things to do tomorro so will let u know how it goes but i took a porn site the other day and made it with food instead of girls... just fiddling... but will post it up... it's actally same kinda design techniques used by fast food ad designers really

I am experiencing serious problems with creativity and producing something origianl!
HELP ME.............

So, i spent today working on a few rough visuals of what the interface could possibly look like, getting various ideas down on page and giving thought to how to make it as interactive as possible, whist retaining the viewers interest in the site itself. Perhaps I'll experiment with some basic animations, possible roll overs etc just to get an idea of how long it'll take to produce and how well it will work.

won't put all images up on here obviously but just few which were the ones about looking bit like crime scene thing... and about looking seedy x

Just read Zoe's post from tutorial notes. I think I get what's going on here, so I am going to try and do some visuals, focusing on sauces and remains of kebabs.
I think with these visuals you could create something really seedy. I really like the idea of a crime scene. I shall try and produce some strong images asap! Good hunting gang.

took a few notes from what they said today....spellng might b a bit dodge as this cruddy comp in the libery wont allow the "i" and "k" keys 2 work unless i slam them!
anyways.....
they said thnk about the options of a kebab shop eg. sauces salads etc
then vsually look at the pavements etc and how they create an envronment someone said that these resembled a crime scene!?
also the layers of the kebab have a lot vsually thnkn about the spit and a kebab stick etc
another idea mentoned was how at the begnnng of a kebab is a gd idea and seems glossy then looks seedy as ur half way through...ref 2 pics
going bac to the kebab shop he said there was a lot there vsually for example the use of menus and use of fluresent card, stars etc the went on about the use of language and how they stick paper over existin menus when the prices change
then lookng at the menu is not as it appears so the pics look nothn like wat u ach get!
then he mentoned a guy called martin parr who takes pics of ppl in kebab shops
so plan 4 monday is to experiment wth ths more visually and find a route...

ha ha ha ha ha that photo is superb. Myself and Tyler look like we are suffering from stunted growth, ha ha ha brilliant!

On the project front, despite my absence I am going to draw up a few layouts for what I think could work. They are just to get the creative juices flowing for a busy design weekend! I hope the tutorial gives you guys some good feedback, please let me know how you get on! Again, if there is anything you want me todo let me know.

Just wanted to let you all know that i'll be spending tonight looking for left over fast food, should be interesting to find some good visuals of thrown away food in its environment. Been working on a few ideas for content of the site and thinking about applying a theme/atmosphere as well. Wish my luck on my fast food remnants safari.

it's kinda hard to think about visual aesthetics when we haven't collected any research material... we need to just choose one or two today i think and go away collect lots of stuff for both or which ever one u prefer and then on thursday when we look at the stuff we can see which one would be more visually satisfying lol yah?! xx

I have also got a book which I feel may help us to decide on our visual style. There is a varied amount of illustration in there, both digital and contemporary! As for photo's etc I am still yet to gather them. I also have no fresh ideas, but I shall search my chest of design goodies!..........it's firmly shut at the moment though!!!!

i found this really gd book with some interesting drawings using diff media called digital illustration...dnt suppose ne1 has got this! neways ive taken some photos on my phone 2 show you...theres a few of fast food rubbish...

anyone got anymore ideas????.........no? I have nothing!
